Definitely check it out if you get the chance. Any version is fine, but the Neo-Geo version comes the most recommended (try it through emulation if you can’t any other way). It’s a great shooter, even if extremely difficult.

Hmm, good question.. To be honest though, I think it was probably for the better. Cross platform shmups back then were usually inferior on the SNES, taking specifically into account Raiden and Thunder Force III (aka Thunder Spirits on the SNES).

Man, I remember this game. I could never get past the Bee boss. I never knew there was a PS1 port though.

Yeah, the Bee boss used to get me quite a lot. Now that I can get past him more often than not, the fourth boss destroys me (he’s one hell of an endurance battle with four forms)!

it brought a tear to my eyes to see neogeo games mentioned. not acknowledged for there greatness…….no no just mentioned. i have stooped up just to hear any one mention the neogeo. it is so overlooked that its hurtful. retroware thank you very much and please show more neogeo love.
