Welcome to a special episode of Michaels Retro Game Review’s, In this episode I will review every game in the Mickey Mouse illusion Series. Now a day’s this series doesn’t get much recognition for it contribution to gaming, So my hope is to open people eye’s to this amazing series of games.

I played all but the game gear game. I liked all of them but Land of Illusion..man, that game gave me nightmares. I thought it was hard as hell! But I always came back for more…

I loved the castle of illusion for the game gear. This one time on my last life I died but there was a cheese/health thing right underneath me as mickey did his death animation. He feel right on it and restored his health and I lived, I LIVED I SAID!!!!! it was a miracle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Great job! Good timing too as I just heard about this series when reading my latest issue of Nintendo Power. They were featuring a look at a new Epic Mickey game coming to 3DS that is heavily inspired by Castle of Illusion. Although I would imagine you’ve already heard about this title.

Anyway I was very interested in checking out this series after reading that article, and now doubly so after seeing your video. Keep up the great work!

“Heavily Inspired” by Castle of Illusion, yeah, right down to the fact that it’s an official entry into the Illusion Series. The Epic Mickey game is called Power of Illusion, “Power” because the new gameplay element is the good ol’ Epic Mickey Paint Brush.

Excellent work man, I think this could be your best video yet–solid editing, lots of good information, and a great flow. Nice one!

Personally I haven’t had a lot of experience with this series outside of the first Game Gear game (Land of Illusion). I definitely need to check these out, especially the Genesis/Mega Drive ones.

i did want to talk about the game gear castle and land of illusion games, but decided due to time it would be best to stick to the core games in this series. but i do plan to do a fallow up and cover all the lose ends. thank you glade you enjoyed the review
