It’s a new episode of The Game Chasers! Finally back home, Billy’s luck takes a turn for the better when the guys are informed of a gold mine that has been right under their noses, probably since the 90′s…..
Chris
Great episode guys! I need to make a trip down to Texas…I’m just up in Oklahoma…

Thanks Chris, come on down, there are plenty of games to go around

I think I found a small blooper. In a couple of shots at the flea market one of you actually wore your baseball cap facing the correct direction. Glad no one was injured.

The cameraman was in fact injured when he sideswiped in the face by cap. I can only speculate at this point on how things may have gone differently if the hat had been in the usual improper backwards position. My prayers go out to him and his family and I wish him a speedy recovery.

wish I could find places like that untapped flea market and the dude who seemed to have EVERYTHING in his attic over here in the UK. Everyone always seems to know the prices of retro games over here, it sucks

while, I LOVE these videos they definitely make me a bit frustrated that I don’t have flea markets or that many stores like you guys do in my area haha. Great work as always fellas.

Absolutley! Unlike a strip club, the gaming community has no boundries! Speaking of strip clubs, Jaguars in Dallas is awesome! They can actually show their chewed up gumball. lol

I really hate how this is portrayed like a TV show. I like following retro gaming videos, but I absolutely loathe the format that TV presents programming. These dudes are alright, but the presented format has driven me away quite hard.

I understand that “reality” tv is not for everyone. I hated it myself until I ran across a few shows on the History channel that I actually enjoy watching. My goal for this show was creating something for the web that would match the quality ( as best I can with limited resources) of some of those shows that I enjoy, while incorporating my love for gaming. Some people love it, some hate it, that’s just the nature of creating content for people. I will always do my best to create something that will entertain as many people as I can, but I can’t succeed with everyone. I appreciate you giving us a shot.

You replicated the quality quite well.

I used to work at The History Channel and I was able to watch them evolve the “reality” or “real life” genre for historical programming quite well. American Pickers and Pawn Stars are really entertaining. I remember seeing a Vectrex in an episode of American Pickers and realized I would love a video game version of this show – then these guys showed up — good stuff.

This episode is my favorite yet -awesome finds, a variety of locations — love this

I know I may be alienating friends and fans — but Magic The Gathering? When this was “cool” in 1994-95, I had a pile of video games and still thought it was Lambda Lambda Lambda

Can I officially say that I hate you guys? Seriously, how do you get all those awesome deals? No one around here seems to ever have anything awesome for sell, and, when/if they do, they overprice it like crazy (basically take the standard overpriced Ebay prices and add about 20-40%).
All I ever seem to find over here is people trying to rip me off… There’s this person trying to sell me a Virtual Boy with a couple games for over 200$, trying to make me believe that multiple people offered 200$ for it… It’s not easy being a game collector around here.
Cool stuff guys, even though I hate the fact that I don’t have your luck
Keep ‘em coming!

Actually, here’s a perfect example of what I have to deal with when it comes to buying retro games around where I live:
http://www.facebook.com/billy.w.hudson Billy Hudson
That is BS, I feel bad for you man. It would be cheaper to drive to the states to pick up a craigslist deal
Jobocan
Well, at least I can shop for old games online. It’s not ideal, and it certainly turns out more expensive than all the awesome deals you get, but at least I manage to pay less than what I find on sites like kijiji, craigslist and the one retail store that has old games around here (what kind of idiot bought that 35$ copy of Mario 3? seriously >_>), and the sites I generally use have free shipping.
Kirby-121
Kijiji is the shit in Canada! I found a lot of good deal too.
Jobocan
I am in Canada, and people selling NES consoles without games for 100+ dollars isn’t rare. Or SNES sport games for 20$ a piece… People think their games are made of gold or something, the prices are just insane.
Sometimes I’ll get lucky and get a good deal (this week I got a boxed colecovision with 6 games for 20$!), but it’s not terribly often.

I live in Halifax and there are lots of solid $5 NES and SNES games and cheap systems on Kijiji here, the flea markets get a little steep though, mostly re-sellers.
jongames
I used to love doing this. Now it seems like every where I go, games are marked for retail/ebay value. Even at flea markets and thrift stores. Its depressing actually. Great to see that you guys seem to enjoy “the hunt” as much as I used to. My best finds ever in the wild; Stack up, complete in the box for 10 bucks, Bubble Bobble part 2 for .99, and Q berts Qubes and spy hunter CIB for the colecovision for 2.99. Keep up the great work!
http://www.facebook.com/billy.w.hudson Billy Hudson
Wow, nice finds. But don’t give up, keep up the hunt because you just never know…you may walk into a Goodwill and find something amazing. But you never will if you don’t go.

BTW – Love the in box Fairchild Channel F. My wifey got me both versions for Christmas a couple years ago (but not in box). She still gets serious points though

And, for a brief moment, Billy finally knows what it feels like to be Jay and get awesome deals. XD
It’s always interesting to see what kind of cool and rare things you guys find (and what kind of strange people you run across.) I personally wish it was legal to kneecap all resellers (or at least the ones that give outrageously high prices.) They really do suck the fun out of this kind of stuff to and extent, but I guess it just makes it that much sweeter when you find a place that’s untouched by them. Here’s to more luck to you guys in the future, and hopes that we can all find some of your luck as well.
http://www.facebook.com/billy.w.hudson Billy Hudson
for ever place we go and find something awesome there are 20 that we come up short. Just keep at it and luck will grant fortune on everyone who has persistence. And I like the kneecap idea. Don’t get me wrong I don’t hate all resellers, just the jerks who buy mike tyson’s punchout for a dollar then go sell it at their shop at the same flea market for 40 bucks. (true story)

Billy Hudson – will you marry me?
http://www.facebook.com/billy.w.hudson Billy Hudson
Do you have money?
Luke Skywiener
Damn you guys find really awesome shit, it makes me jealous lol, the best find i have found around here is a Nintendo for 20 bucks, anyways love the videos man and GAME THE FUCK ON BROTHA!!!
