Great conclusion to a great 4 part Magfest series. I would have loved to explore the back rooms of Game Room. I wish the camera would have held some of the shots just a little longer. I kept staring, unblinking, and saying “Hey was that a…”, and “Holy $hit is that what I think it was?!” and then the camera would pan away before I could confirm. Great show guys. You finally convinced me to sign up. Sorry about the delay, but those skill testing questions to register kept defeating me.

Wow, such a very emotional episode, The Game Chasers just keeps getting better and better. I had the opportunity about 13 years ago to buy the copy of Final Fantasy II from the actual video store I rented it from when I was 9 years old. That was the game the introduced me to RPGs, and I also bought their copy of Final Fantasy III on the SNES which is my favorite game of all time. So I think I know what you might have felt buying that sign, after it had sat neglected in a dark corner for years.

I’m going to have to save my pennies to buy the DVD when it comes out.

This is awesome dude. I have a few games that I’ve picked up in my city that still have the old shiny rental tag with the address, etc. I refuse to take them off because of the memories. Great episode man.

man you guys make me wish i lived in the states to have as many game stores as you guys do. here in canada even when i go to flea markets seems like its all overpriced by alot. worst i saw here was a few days ago a mario bros 3 for 15 no box or manual. so jealous of you guys! keep it up:)

Great episode, great series, and great 4 parter! The Chronicles of MAGFest turned into a full 90 minute movie! What a great way to wrap up the trip and the series. I make it a habit to watch the episode, then rip it off Blip and watch it on my TV with my wife and kid. The six month old stares at both of you on the screen very intently.

Omigosh,omigosh, omigosh! You guys visited two of my regular joints on your trip! I never, in a million years expected to see the Game Room Trading Post in your show. Interesting fact: the store used to be in Hot Springs, AR, which also featured another game store owned by Mike’s brother. Matter of fact, that store got my collecting started. If you guys are ever back in Arkansas, I strongly suggest you visit Conway, which has both a GameXchange and the largest (maybe 2nd largest, now that I’ve seen Mike’s basement) independent game store in the state.

Totally agree with the guy that said that about digital downloads….I *HATE* digital downloads….DLC is bad enough, but totally digital downloads is BS….I have a Vita and aware that all games (so far, to my knowledge) has downloadable versions and cartridge version….I’m sticking with the cartridges….

I want to open a gamestore that doesn’t do “E-Bay” or a “re-sell” games. I grew up working hard for my money so I could go to the Arcades and buy a “Used Game” from my local Video Store, those Rental/Video Stores back in the day. Those stores as soon as the SNES or N64 came out and became popular, they would try to sell all there used games from the older systems… you could get deals like 3 NES games for 25 bucks or 1 NES game for 10 dollars. The more games you bought, the better the deal Those stores would sell older games (or systems) so they could get the next system or games.

If your next gen console breaks, that does not mean digital downloaded games will be ‘erased’ from you personally. The are stored on your game account (PSN for example), and you can download them again on a new console by signing in with you User ID and password.

Sorry, but that guy annoyed me SO MUCH. FINAL FANTASY THIS…and FINAL FANTASY THAT…he has NO IDEA what he’s talking about. Backwoods dumb***k.
