I like that RetroBeats is making a comeback, but I miss Mel.

Great to see this back! So yeah, where is Mel(aka Drakul) anyway?
so yeah, I like how this is structured as a podcast. Nice selection of tracks as well.

Please continue with these Derek. It made that hour of arbitrary net scouring so much more enjoyable.

Wow this is great, oh please Derek let this continue forever, I am a Video Game Music obsessor (More so to the NES & SNES as well), and this really would be one nerdiest thing you’ve ever done? Of course as I just I foam at the mouth for VGM, you shall continue this Derek as if you enjoy it then we will as well! :)

Also you should totally look into soundtracks done by the great Tim Follin, he will surely spice up the RetroBeats podcast with his amazing compositions! ;D

Derek, seriously, this made my drive to work great and made my day.  I really hope you do more of these, it was a pleasure to listen to.

  • MikeR

Derek, it was really fun to hear a lot of these new and familiar tunes again. It would be pretty sweet to have retobeats like these be an independently aired station with other radio on web feed or itunes’ radio listings. Thanks for all the hard work man!

  • Mike Crone

I really enjoyed listening to these old tracks Derek and it was cool to pick on some different ones that have made it to your videos (or at least the ones I remember). Keep this going, I will tune in for sure just to hear what you’ve got. ~Remember the AGES

PS. I am downloading the MP3 file as we speak, and I’m loving it!

  • krls

  • MattJ1991

This is great Derek, please keep posting these.

It took way too long for me to listen to this, though it does make a good background while I’m cleaning my room.

Cool stuff, good variety of music (even with the abundance of Capcom) and even some really good ones I didn’t know myself, can’t wait to listen to the second one today as well!
