Yes, Iknow we looked at this one a bit when I did that big Worms special, but it’s such a special game that I felt it deserved a more in-depth look. So here we go:

See? I told you! In-depth! Detailed! Etc.! Worms: The Director’s Cut can be downloaded legally and for free, along with the elusive patch disk, from Dream17. You’ll need an Amiga emulator, as well as an Amiga Kickstart ROM (which can’t be legally downloaded for free, but do read on). You can snag WormsDC here.

If you’re interested in setting up Amiga emulation on your Windows-based PC, Cloanto sells a fully-licensed emulation package called Amiga Forever. It’s US$29.95 and available as an immediate download, and if you’re a fan of late 80s/early 90s home computer gaming (or if you’re at all curious about any of the Amiga games mentioned throughout the series) it’s well worth the money. Head over to AmigaForever.com to check it out.

Right, that’s enough cocking about. We’ll see you in a week-and-a-bit for our PAX Prime 2013 special!
