Have you ever heard of the Unholy Triforce games in the Legend of Zelda series? Nintendo at one point has given Philips permission to use a couple of their characters to make a couple of games. What happens when you give some great gaming icons to a company that doesn’t know what a gamepad even looks like? That’s right, disaster! Four games were published however, one Mario game, and three Zelda games. Most have probably seen the horrible cartoons of the two Zelda platforming games on the CD-i: Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon. The third one, Zelda’s Adventure, is very rarely mentioned however. It was released in 1995, which was fairly late in the CD-i’s life and thus the game got a lot less exposure.

It was made by a different company, it was an overhead style game like a ‘true’ Zelda game and you Play as Zelda herself. Was the game good? Uhhh…. HELL NO! Is it an interesting bit of Zelda history? Well, maybe. At least it’s one of the most expensive Zelda games to find right now. It’s sought after by a lot of collectors (probably to burn them all), which has really driven up the price over the years. I’ve got a copy and I’m going to show it off. So join me as I play through Zelda’s Adventure and marvel at its many wonders it has to offer… which means have a good laugh with it :D
