The Retroware TV Family welcomes LAZY GAME REVIEWS! Arcade ports in the 80′s were very much hit and miss, often sacrificing extra graphics, sound, and controls. But rotary joysticks or not, Ikari Warriors for the PC is one manly good time.

Thanks, Pat! And yeah, I really don’t know why they didn’t at least go with the alternate CGA palette for warmer colors. Bizarre choice.

Wow! Good stuff! I’d be stoked to see some PC games from the 90′s. Riddle of the Sphinx, Shivers, 7th Guest, Alone in the Dark…..etc. I loved those adventure/puzzle titles.

Ok, just going to come out and say it. IMO, the additions of LGR and JewWario have officially made Retroware the superior website to Blistered Thumbs. I still think there are a few more quality Retro game content producers out there that should be added to the roster, but all in all, I’m VERY impressed with the development of this website as a whole. Great job guys!

Gah, PC graphics in the late 80s/early 90s were worse looking than ZX Spectrum games. Ghastly colours, awful sprites and beep boop sound. Why did someone even bother to port the games to the PC platform? PC Games didn’t get their footing until Doom and Quake. Which is why I never wanted to touch one until 1997. I stuck to my Commodore guns!

If someone released a game with ripped box art from a totally different platform today, they’d be torn to pieces faster than you could say “derp”.
