Too bad that Megaman is dead by now… will miss the blue guy :(

Megaman Universe will be great… and… Canceled! Just like everything else Capcom makes that isn’t Street Fighter.

Love the shout out to Philip K Dick, that’s really stretching but it’s impressive you know about that book, it’s nothing short of a masterpiece

      It’s no Ubik but it’s a great book : P

I’m only bothered because I feel the absolute opposite way you feel about 10′s soundtrack and 9′s soundtrack. 9 had some, maybe, about three, very memorable tracks, but the majority of it felt somewhat throwaway to me. 10 on the other hand, with maybe the exception of Commando Man and Strike Man, every other track in the game is absolutely beautiful, and I have trouble comprehending how one could think of them as non memorable. Partially, I think part of it was the fact that each of the Robot Masters stage themes were guest composed by past composers of the Mega Man series. Particular standouts to me were Chill Man and Solar Man’s stages (God I can’t have enough love for Solar Man’s stage theme), which were done by the composers of Mega Man 8 and 3 respectively, and if you listen, you can really hear sort of trademark style elements to each of the stages. And don’t get me started on the DLC Mega Man Killers stages. Those in particular are an audible nirvana to me, and in my personal opinion superior to the original tracks they reference.

All the other complaints, I don’t really share them either (really I did
just overall enjoy 10 more), but I guess nothing wrong with that
    really~

But yeah, that’s mainly my thoughts I wanted to share. You’re entitled to your opinion of course, it’s just a weird one to me, because it’s the polar opposite opinion in general. I felt 9 had an overall lackluster soundtrack while 10′s was absolutely godlike. But alas.

It’s funny, I feel the opposite. While it was awesome to get a new game in the classic series I found MM9 to not be so great and way too hard, MM10 I like much more and it was much easier for me. And I have played Mega Man since I was little (I’m 23 now).

The music I can’t say anything about as I can’t recall any tune whatsoever

  • Octagon79

Great review and enjoyable video, even though I disagree on several points. The music was amazing! Especially Magma Man’s stage. Music is a very subjective thing so it’s kind of unfair to just say the soundtrack is bad, even if you don’t personally like it as much as 9. And I thought Sheepman was hilarious, I figured he was electric because of how wool naturally stores a lot of static electricity. I agree on the weapons being a bit lame, but I didn’t mind the bosses. I don’t have any opinion on the story really.

    • Octagon79

I meant Solar man, not Magma Man!
