Here I take a look at the 2011 Space Invaders plug ‘n play TV game from Jakks Pacific. Is it worth the $20 or so it costs? Watch to find out!

    Good video!
I have a Space Invaders plug n play as well. But it’s a different one from Radica Games.

How does the Radica one hold up?

Good review, but the extra syllable in “compilation” drove me crazy.

A handful of others have noted that as well. It’s how I’ve always said it, but I’ll see about correcting it next time around. :)

He didn’t add an extra syllable.  He merely pronounced it as com “pile” ation, where the more common pronounciation is com “pill” ation.  Either is correct and the way he said it is accurate, as the root word is compile.  I don’t know where you are hearing an “extra syllable”.

Actually if you listen close He doesn’t say com-pile-ation he say com-pi-ooh-lation. Not that I care I like the review but theres your extra syllable.

Doesn’t seem like Plug and Plays caught on here (at least the non-Chinese ones), so I don’t expect to see that in stores in our shores. Still, I’m happy top see they are still making them.

It doesn’t seem like Jakks Pacific has a great focus on these arcade-themed/joystick units nowadays either. About six or seven years ago I recall these things being very popular.

Another thing to go with that, while I found this at a local K-Mart store (I hear they are popping up at Toys R Us stores as well now), this thing is no where to be found on the Jakks Pacific web site. Strange.
