FREE Retroware TV App Available Now

The Free Retroware TV iPhone and iPad apps are available now! The Android app will be available soon. Both apps are produced by Screenwave Media http://screenwavemedia.com/ and both are optimized for the iPhone, iPad and iPad Touch. Soon to be released on Android. And the WOLFPACK has something to say about it…

    One more month, that’s all I’m waiting.  If there is no ANDROID app by the end of February I’m pulling all my support for Retroware.  As it is I have to forcibly pull myself away from Cinemassacre, Screw Attack, IGN just to support this site.  This site is so slow and behind everyone else and yet I still come here to try and support its growth, but for what?  Help us out Retroware, GET ON THE BALL !

      Kevin here, just wanting to reply to you about all of this. But first let me say I just deleted your spam post of “ANDROID!” a million times and will warn you not to do that again. But moving on I’d like to thank you for supporting the site, despite it being so hard for you to tear yourself away from the various other sites out there. As an Android user myself I also await the release of the application for it, these things take time. I’m sorry you are so hurt that the iOS app came first, one probably had to and the iOS was able to be released in time for MAGFest so it was. Screenwave Media is hard at work making a great app for the Android platform and its many phones and users, and I’m sure they are going to make a great app to watch all the shows here. We should all thank them for even making the app at all and providing it for free to all the users of RWTV. It is only a matter of time!

             It has been released but it is buggy — but updates are coming so feel free to download it and report bugs if necessary.  I don’t have an Android phone but some of the guys have used it and have reported bugs themselves — so it’s there but needs work as of yesterday.

            Yup, discovered it was out yesterday. Downloaded, and the layout was very familiar if you’ve used the Cinemassacre app. Works well enough, but somehow you cannot browse though all of the videos currently available on this site. Also, if one “channel” has got two or more shows, they appear jumbled in their respective submenu. Take HVGN for example. I guess they are sorted by date uploaded, but in this kind of app this doesn’t make very much sense. At least not if there are no proper submenus. Also, I cannot go farther back than his “Gettin’ Super Nerdy – Rygar” episode. And I only see three “Let’s Get!!” episodes. Enough whining though, I bet the app is gonna’ be great when tweaked a bit. Big fan of this site!

            Well, alot of the clips just don’t load (most 16-bit gems did, thank god for that) and there’s some double “posts” etc. Need to press back twice to get back to the app.  Layout is pretty neat tho!

            As said below it is out as of yesterday but Screenwave didn’t formally announce it and we noticed a few things to fix real quick. Should be out in full this weekend at which point we shall make a larger announcement. But feel free to grab it now!
