since you didnt have a suggestion thread yet, I decided to make one!

Anyways it would be cool to see you review those RPGs you listed

my personal choices would be for you to review

Xenogears, Threads of Fate, and Brave Fencer Mushashi

I only say those three due to Vagrant Story from what i hear hasnt aged well, but ive heard its still a good game.

I personally really like Vagrant Story, and I was only exposed to it through PSN rather than being an oldschool player. It comes extremely close to being what I'd imagine of a modern remake of Tower of Druaga.

It's hard to say what games I'd like to see, since any I could suggest I already know insane amounts of trivia about. Kind of defeats the purpose when the show's about exposing great games to people who have never heard of them.

Bah RPGs aren't that exciting. :) I'd like to see some light on a N64 classic Rocket: Robot on Wheels. Also you mentioned you were thinking about doing Megaman 5 on the Original Gameboy. Oh, and Shatterhand on the NES. Maybe Bucky O'Hare too, even though Pixel Dan did that so not sure on that one.

I would like to see you do a review on the Neo Geo Aes system and some of it's games. I have this system and have six games for this system and they are Fatal Fury 2, Fatal Fury Special, The King of Fighters 94, Sengoku 1, Alpha Mission 2 and Samurai Spirits. So what does every body think? Should the Happy Video Game Nerd do a Neo Geo Aes review?

Snatcher, Snatcher, Snatcher

Did I mention Snatcher? Yes, I did.

I would also appreciate it if the original PC-88 and MSX2 versions, as well as its super-deformed spin-off were also highlighted as well. Most people seem to act like the game originated on the Sega CD.

The original PC-88 version had the best soundtrack of all the versions. I'd say it blows the PC Engine and Sega CD soundtracks out of the water. All about the FM chip.

Hey Sonny! I agree that the Neo Geo AES/MVS had a lot of cool games that may have been obscured by the years, and was overall a system way ahead of its contemporaries.

If we're talking about reviewing games on the Neo Geo, I personally would want to see a review of King of The Monsters, which is basically a wrestling game in the style of Wrestle War or WWF WrestleFest, only with giant monsters. Magical Drop, Magician Lord and the Sengoku series are worth reviewing as well.

id also recommend Valkyria Chronicles

i know this wont happen one bit, but this game is so underrated. it was one of the top 5 games of 2008 imho

it has alot of people who worked on games like skies of arcadia (they even have cameos from the two main characters)

i mean this has to be the best tactics game on the ps3. its even more interactive than most tactics games.

plus its about 20 dollars and 22 for the art book ( beautiful fucking art style) its all worth it

i mean check this screen cap out

oh i also recommend the tales games like vesperia and legendia

since you are thinking about going through gamecube, ps2 and xbox games you should tryout the three Tales games that came out here in the states

Tales of Symphonia (gamecube)

Tales of Legendia (this one is interesting since Namco developed this one with an internal team and not the usual Tales team) (PS2)

Tales of the Abyss (PS2)

talk about an underrated RPG series :)

EDIT: I put down which platform each game was on in those three different consoles

EDIT 2: i would recommend the two Tales of Destiny games for the PS1 (the second Tales game is actually called Tales of Eternia, but was renamed Tales of Destiny 2…we never got the real Destiny 2.), but if you dont already have them, they are stupid expensive…

Here are a few of my suggestions:

Lunar the Silver Star Story (Sega CD)

Lunar 2 the Eternal Blue (Sega CD)

Grandia (PS [even though I prefer the Saturn version, that only comes in Japanese Frown])

Grandia II (Dreamcast/PS2)

These games are most deffinitely not underrated by any means but they are truly great games and I would love to see your review of them. Both the Lunar and Grandia series have what I think is a rich history, (nothing compared to Earthbound or Shenmue but you get the point) and there would be plenty to talk about here.

Just my two scents.

Love the show Derek and I am glad you are still continueing on. You've inspired me to begin my own review show which I am almost finished with episode 1. Thanks Laugh

he should just review the PS1 versions of the two lunar games. they might be pricier but they are both 70 dollars usually at used game stores and you can get them with the sweet swag

It would be much easier to get the complete package for the Playstation version of Lunar 1 and 2; unless he already has both copies for the Sega CD. I would be happy with any home console version of these games.

i dont know how many people are wondering what you think about this, but since you love Resident Evil 4

review the upcoming Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City.

like i said i dont know if everyone is wanting to hear your opinion on this game like Megaman 10, Rocket Knight, and the recent Splatterhouse, but i think to round out your love for Resident Evil 4, you should put down your thoughts on this game

Another suggestion:

Please review U.N. Squadron (a.k.a. Area 88) both the arcade and snes versions, talk about how they're based on the anime/manga, and it's Carrier Air Wing/U.S. Navy sequel.

Haven't given suggestions since the last version of the site! ^^

But yeah, I have one: Gremlins 2 for the NES! I bought it not long ago, and it was much better than I thought it would be! It's hard as hell, sure, but a lot of fun!

Also, one that I haven't played that much of but hear it's an "underrated classic" by freaking everyone: Blaster Master! Is it as good as people make it out to be?

Lastly, you've had music from both games played on your podcast, so I know you own them! XP
