This year, Pat & Ian raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network!


4th Annual NES Marathon Benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

Pat and Ian are back for another 24+ hours of LIVE classic Nintendo gaming as they raise money for Children’s Miracle Network during their 30th Anniversary! Watch them LIVE during the event as they play from a library of over 750 8-bit NES titles, interact with viewers, give away prizes, and host special guest cameos of other internet personalities who “stop by” via video. This year there will be certain scheduled events to help worldwide viewers and those with busy schedules plan ahead and not miss the fun. This page will be updated with those events as well as the giveaways as they are announced!

Donating and Shaping the NES Marathon

All proceeds will go to the Children’s Miracle Network, an organization that provides money to children’s hospitals in need:

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is celebrating its 30-year anniversary! Since 1983, the organization has raised more than $4.7 billion—most of it $1 at a time—for 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada, which, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of the mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

Any donation amount is greatly appreciated! As a thank you to donors at the $25 and above level, they will be able to help choose what games Pat and Ian play! Donors who select those perks have the option of making the donation in the name of any NES title released during the system’s original run (via Indiegogo’s comment system). The more money raised in the name of any individual game, the more time will be allotted for Pat and Ian to play it! The NES marathon really relies on the input of the viewers so help out a great cause and help make the event what you want to watch! Another bonus in donating: since this is a charitable organization, your contribution will be 100% tax deductible!

Note: All game-playing and time lengths are up to the discretion of Ian/Pat. Game-play lengths may not be exact and may be cut for time due to amount of games selected.

So that’s what’s going on! During the event, we’ll have fun, prizes, and some surprises in store. This page will be updated in the near future with more perks and specific stretch goals that you can look forward to.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Another way in which The Annual NES Marathon is able to raise money is by offering visibility and advertising to websites, organizations, businesses, and individuals who wish to make a larger donation and help sponsor the event. In return for these generous donations the donor will receive exposure in the form of banners on the marathon’s main page, radio style read-out ads, commercial spots during regular break times, and at the highest levels call-ins and dedicated hour blocks. Tens of thousands of viewers watched the 3rd Annual event last year… here’s your chance for your website/business to gain some great exposure while helping out a great cause with a 100% tax-deductible donation! Please check out the available package perks.

Spreading the Word

The NES Marathon’s success is based largely upon others spreading the word via Twitter, Facebook, etc. can actually track how many donation referrals come in through your retweeting, posting the link, etc. To show our appreciation, we will reward the person responsible with the most donation referrals with a prize! We’ll announce what this is later.
